Shot in New York, it is a thoroughly mundane scene, the kind you might encounter in major cities around the world without paying much attention to it. Played back in slight deceleration, however, the soap bubbles begin to perform a silent ballet, a dance of transience, as it were, whose metaphorical potential is fiercely counteracted by a cleverly mixed musical setting.» (Konrad Bitterli)
